If you’re trying to lose weight, but you’re not getting the results you had hoped for, skip the cardio and start lifting weights.

While steady state cardio might help you drop a few pounds on the scale, it will actually put stress on the body and encourage fat storage.

Conversely, strength training helps the body gain lean muscle, which enables you to burn more energy while you’re resting and makes it easier for you to maintain the body you’ve been working hard for.
